Are you are an author looking to work with a highly experienced, accredited editor?
Or a publisher looking for that meticulous editor to take a manuscript through to finished page proofs?
No matter what stage your project is at, I can work with you to take it to the next level.
I am an IPEd-accredited editor (AE), with over 15 years experience in the Australian publishing industry. I’ve been running my editorial consultancy business for over a decade. As a freelancer, I have edited enough books to fill a Billy bookcase, including a number of titles that have been shortlisted for national book awards. I have also worked in-house for some of Australia’s biggest publishers, including Penguin Random House and HarperCollins Publishers.
My clients include Allen & Unwin, Ausmed, Cambridge University Press, Deakin University, Hardie Grant, McGraw-Hill, Macmillan Education Australia, Melbourne University Publishing, Oxford University Press, Palgrave Macmillan, Pearson Education, Penguin Random House, Supreme Court of Victoria, UNSW Press and World Vision.
I have taught editing and publishing units at RMIT, Deakin University and Victoria University.
My qualifications include a BA (Hons) and an MA in English, plus a Graduate Diploma in Professional Writing and Editing.
I keep my skills sharp by regularly participating in professional development activities, such as Redact (2013 and 2010), the intensive weekend residential editorial course run bi-annually by Editors Victoria.
I am involved with IPEd’s National Mentoring Program for editors, and have served on the Editors Victoria Executive Committee.
